Programme Objectives

The programme provides in-depth presentation and discussion of the Swedish National Health & Social Security System and the State Pension, seen in the international context. The role of politicians, the consensus-making process and techniques for handling change are included. Since the pension system does not exist in a static universe there will be discussions of current problem areas and questions to be resolved.

New pension products were developed as a result of the reform process. The programme includes both lectures and dialogue with representatives of the private insurance sector.
